Charcoal on Hahnemuhle paper

66.5cm x 46.5cm (Framed behind glass 102cm x 78cm).

This drawing is based on a sketch made by Captain TJ Grant in 1848. It is a very detailed but "Naive" drawing which I love.

Pukaki was carved by Ngati Whakaue Master Carver Te Taupua in 1836. It was one of 3 gateways to Te Pukeroa Pa at Ohinemutu, along with "Tiki" and "Panui-o-Marama."
